My cousin Joyce Pastorek had the opportunity to have a Christmass tree ornament selected for use on the White House Christmas Tree. She explained that, "painting the ornament was tedious" as you can see in the picture below. She also said that it "was all stroke work, which is what they required on all the ornaments. The theme was music and the ornaments were all some type of musical instrument. Mine was a giant jingle bell". Notice the ornament on the tree with George and Joyce in front of it.
